The Punk Article
Alright, so I've heard some talk about my punk article, which can be accessed here. Apparently, my descriptions of punks, emos and goths are not completely true. They don't encompass all punks, emos or goths. Well, for one, who gives a shit? No stereotype covers every single person within that label. It talks about the majority. Which, since my article was covering stereotypes, it only makes sense that my article accomplished the same fete.
For another point, the article was a joke. I spent that whole time going through how emos and goths are a bunch of losers, why would my opinion be any different for punks? I don't fit into any stereotype. Punk is probably the closest, but I still don't fit into any of those stereotypes. Sure, I wear band shirts. Of course, according to society that makes you emo. But it also makes you a scene kid. And punks wear band shirts too. Oh shit, looks like it doesn't matter if you wear a band shirt. I listen to music and I play music, but you know, so does just about every musician out there. Oops, looks like we've got a whole world of emos and punks. Shit, there goes another one. I think I just changed my mind. I do fit a stereotype. I am an asshole.
I have a good reason to be an asshole. It's fun. I keep myself entertained by being an asshole. Besides that there's the fact that my opinions tend to be disagreed with by the vast majority of the population, which inevitably leads to me being an asshole. You know, if I weren't an asshole, I'm pretty sure I'd kill myself out of shear boredom. Just kidding. Only emos kill themselves. And goths. Or, you know, people who are depressed. Damn, I keep killing all these stereotypes.
So anyway, just a word to the slow: Learn to take a joke. Go to the site www.howtobepunk.com . Read it through. If you buy into that as much as you bought into my rant about being punk, then you're a dumbass and would you please send me your IP address so that I can ban you from my site/ format your harddrive.
