I Hate My Job

I hate my job. I work at Swiss Chalet, it's my first job, and I hate it. I mean, it used to be ok, even though I'm just a dish boy, but since I started it has progressively gotten worse. Rules have been enforced that I don't like, unlikable employees have been hired and the job has just generally gone to shit.

When I first started, it wasn't that bad. I had to wash the dishes, take out the trash, and at the end of the night I had to take the machine apart. My manager was a bit of a bitch, but that was it. I didn't socialize much, due to the fact that people are assholes by default and I have no desire to know more. I didn't like the job, but it was bearable.

After awhile, my manager quit and a new one took her place. The new one was nicer, but she was stricter too. She now enforced the fact that I should wear a hairnet and that I should need to clean my station every night. But still, it was bearable. I started talking to some of the other employees, and it turned out some of them were ok.

Now, before work most nights I didn't get to go home from school and had to walk to work instead, which meant I ended up eating at work a lot. Needless to say, though I once loved the food at Swiss Chalet, I was tired of it. It also turned out that socializing with people had had a good (at the time) effect: I had met a girl: 7:38. If you read that story, you'll find out how that went wrong.

          So so far we've got:

  1. The shitty job
  2. The strict manager
  3. The hatred of the food
  4. The fact that I work with an (insane) ex

Add to that the fact that I work with two Crystals, a Kristen, a Christine and a Kristy and you've got one pain in the ass job. I've come from merely hating my job to hating my job, the employees, the food and the building. The only good thing, and the only reason I'm staying, is that I get paid. Well, that and the free Brisk.
