In Canada, elementary schools are supposed to be pretty good. You always hear about how good the school system is in Canada, and private schools are a separate system, so they must be referring to elementary schools. Which leads to one issue: the elementary schools here are run by dumbasses.

          Ok, maybe I'm being a bit unfair there. This isn't so much about elementary schools as it is about the one that I used to attend and which my two younger sisters still attend. I'm going to refer to it as a public school from now on, because the word elementary implies that there is some common sense involved, and here there is none.

          The school is located in a fairly nice place, the school itself is a nice building, and there are a few really good teachers, but beyond that the place is a complete shit hole.  One of the teachers is bordering on pedophilia, a lot of the kids are druggies, most of the girls are fat, their teams are pretty useless, and the supply teachers are even more so.

          But I'm not complaining about how shitty the school itself is, I'm out of there. I don't need to worry about it anymore. What bothers me is the school's goddamn policies. But even that's not why I'm complaining.

          My sister's been being bullied by some other girls, pretty much since she's been at the school, which would have been about 5 years. She's too stupid to just knock the girls out, so she's just been sitting back and taking it. Until this year. She hasn't actually hit anyone, but she's responded to their insults a few times. This, of course, led the girls to bitch to a teacher, and my sister getting punished. Nevermind that my sister has gone to the principal about these girls the years before or that they've been bullying her for years, it's her goddamn fault and she should be punished.

          A few times, my sister's friends have gone to the teacher about it, and recently my sister had an msn conversation with a friend of one of the girls who got in trouble.

FatGirl: I know you ratted out my friends.

Sister: No I didn't.

FatGirl: Well I know your friend did.

Sister: I don't care what she did. It's over.

FatGirl: It's not over.

          Now doesn't that sound a little bit like a threat? Well, like me, my sister doesn't tolerate threats. Unlike me, she didn't deal with the problem herself, she went to my mother, who called the cops. So now the cops were involved, but the girls still didn't get the message. One day, while I was with my mother picking my sisters up from school, we drove past two of the girls, and they started to make gagging sounds. I thought it was a pretty clever gag so I decided I should salute them.

          This, unfortunately, prompted my mother to call the school, who then decided that my sister should be put in a 'Social Skills' class. Now, in case your bullshit alarm wasn't going off there, 'Social Skills' is politically correct speak for retards. Did the school ask my parents for their permission to do this? No, why bother doing something like following procedure? Did they at least tell my parents even? Of course not. My parents didn't know until my sister came home and told them that she had been put in that class. Complete bullshit. My mom phoned them, and asked about this ' Social Skills' class, and when she was finished on the phone she told my sister that the teacher had said she should ' Think about why these girls are picking on you.' Can you believe that bullshit? That's like asking a goddamn rape victim ' Well what did you do to get raped?' It sounds more like this school is trying to protect the goddamn bullies from legal action than they are from protecting my sister from bullying.

          My sister was pulled from the class, and now she knows that if these girls try anything, she's allowed, no, expected to beat the living shit out of them. If the school punishes her for it, she's expected to walk out. She won't get in trouble for it. These girls have started something, and if my sister wants to finish it, she will. And if this school ever tries to put her in some 'Social Skills' class again, they will have their asses sued for both the claim that she has social issues, and for placing her in the retard class without permission.

          So no, this is not a goddamn elementary school, because apparently the dumbasses that run it can't figure out something as elementary as you protect the victim, not the goddamn bullies. Oh yeah, and for anyone mentioned in this article that isn't related to me.
